Tips For Turning CD Duplication Into A Profitable Side Business

by: Mike Waters

CD duplication has arrived in a big way. Teenagers are using cd burners to rip mp3s from their favorite artists. Companies use cd duplication to make backups of their software and documents. Federal agencies are scrambling to define and interpret intellectual piracy and copyright laws as they relate to cd duplication and the music industry. The movie industry is seeking how they can profit from cd and DVD duplication. With so much attention focused on cd duplication, now is the perfect time to turn your home cd duplication hardware into a very profitable side business.

Believe it or not, you probably already have everything you need to get your cd duplication service business off the ground. All you need is a computer, a cd burner, cd duplication software, and a few blank cdrs to get started. It is really that easy.

If you don?t possess a computer or a cd burner, don?t worry. Purchasing a cd duplication device is very affordable. The cost of standalone cd duplication hardware has reduced significantly in recent years. Practically all home computers come with internal cd duplication hardware (cd burners) and some sort of cd duplication software as well. CD duplication media such as blank cd-r and cd-rw are extremely low priced and can be purchased at practically every major retail store.

Your market for your cd duplication company is going to be local bands and musicians as well as small businesses. Local up and coming bands/musicians are often too busy perfecting their sound to be tied down with the tedious task of duplicating cds for their gigs. They also don?t have the money to order cds from the big cd duplication companies.

Likewise, small businesses are almost always unable to financially justify having a technical/computer staff to handle the backup and data storage aspects of their company. All too often, they end up forgoing needed data backups simply because they forget to do it.

However, you can solve these marketplace gaps, provide a needed service, and earn some nice side profit legally by starting your own cd duplication service that caters to these clients. By having a reasonable price, quick rate of delivery, and a quality product, you will undoubtedly get many repeat customers and plenty ?word of mouth? buyers.

So what are you waiting for? Start your cd duplication service company today!

About The Author

Mike Waters is owner of Waters Rock music studio and the senior technology columnist for Media-Tech Entertainment and You.
Local Vs Remote Data Backup - The Pros And Cons

by: Niall Roche

Backing up your data should be an essential part of your daily routine. Unfortunately for many businesses this simply isn't the case. The only time data backup crosses their mind is when they have a hard disk crash or a serious spyware or virus infection. Unfortunately by this stage it's already too late to do anything about it - the data is gone and you're then looking at several hundred, if not several thousand, dollars to have the data rescued and restored.

The concept is simple - choose a data backup plan and stick to it.

The burning question on most IT managers minds is should the data be stored locally or remotely? To be fair this is the pivot point of all data backup plans. There are pros and cons to each method.

Local Data Backup

Most companies rely on either DVD, external hard disk or tape drive data backup solutions locally. These provide fast, cost effective storage for most small companies and are also very easy for even the IT novice to operate. In the case of any data being lost it's simply a matter of restoring the data from a previous backup point and the user can then continue working.

The data, however, is only as safe as the building it's in. What happens in the case of fire, burglary, flooding or storm damage? That's right you just lost all your data backups in the blink of an eye.

Remote Data Backup

As an emerging industry remote data backup has really taken off. Most commonly remote file backup services allow you to log into a remote drive and via a web based interface upload all your critical files. 5GB of storage space is the entry point for most of the remote data backup services and this is provided at a low cost. Knowing that your data is being stored in a secure facility that's deliberately protected against harm allows you much greater peace of mind.

The weak point here however is the data transfer speed. Unless you're operating a high speed LAN in your company then remote backup can be a complete waste of time as you're tied to the maximum upstream speed of your network - which can be surprisingly slow depending on your IT infrastructure. Add in the issue of firewalls blocking uploads on certain ports and it can quickly become a real IT headache.

So how do achieve a Win-Win scenario? Blended backup! Look at utilizing both of these forms of backup. In an ideal world you'd store a local copy of your data and then upload an exact copy of that data to the remote file backup server. If money is an issue then store your bulk data locally but copy your mission critical data to the remote backup service. That way in the worst of disasters you'll still have the data you need to actually function as a business. That's not to say that bulk data such as archived email is not important but that old data could be recovered in time by a data recovery specialist whereas you mission critical data needs to be available at a moments notice.

About The Author

This article was written by Niall Roche and provided courtesy of BackupAdvice.com.
What is on Your Credit Report?

by: Beth Pardue

Your credit report is a very important piece of the puzzle in your financial picture. It contains a historical record of your personal and financial information including a listing of your current and past debts and the timeliness of your payments. The information contained on your credit report is looked at by many people including lenders, credit card companies, landlords, telephone and cable companies just to name a few. These companies use your credit report to evaluate your reliability and creditworthiness.

With all of these people knowing what is on your credit report - shouldn?t you? Knowing what is on your credit report can save you from unexpected surprises the next time you apply for a loan. Insuring the accuracy of your credit report is also very important. All too often people have found errors on their credit report that were damaging their credit score. Many times people have even been alerted to attempted identity theft by keeping an eye on their credit report.

There are several options when it comes to obtaining a copy of your credit report. For a fee, you can request a copy directly from the credit bureaus. However, with so many free routes that can be taken, there is really no need to pay to receive a copy of your credit report. There are many companies available that will provide you with a copy free of charge.

Visit http://www.credit-report-credit-score.com to get a free copy of your credit report and to learn more about managing credit and debt.

Here is what you can expect to see on your credit report. There are four basic sections to the report which are broken down below:

1. Your personal information such as your name, social security number, date of birth, drivers license number, address and telephone number

2. Your credit history which contains a listing of all open and closed credit lines including the original amount of the loan as well as the current balance on the loan, the type of loan (credit card, department store credit, mortgage etc.), the status of the loan whether it is active or closed, and the timeliness of your payments

3. A public records listing that includes any tax liens foreclosures, bankruptcies or judgments filed

4. A listing of inquiries made on your credit report by potential lenders who pull your credit report when considering issuing you a loan or credit card.

If you do find errors on your credit report they can be disputed and corrected. Be aware that this may take some time. That is why it is always recommended to stay on top of things and know what is on your credit report. Being alert and informed will help insure that nothing sneaks its way on to your credit report.

-------------------------

Note: This article may be freely reproduced as long as the authors bio paragraph at the bottom of this article is included, the article is published ?as is?
Can I Fix My Bad Credit Alone?

by: Magalie Noel Dresse

Certainly, you can! But let me ask you this: why fix it alone when you can have help?

While I?m not saying that it?s better to fix bad credit with the help of an expert, there are some indisputable advantages when you hire a professional credit repair company to take over your credit problems. If you don?t have the time for it, naturally it?s better to turn over everything to a professional credit repair company. If you don?t think you have enough experience dealing with the finance people ? haggling, negotiating, disputing and so on ? then once again, maybe it?s time to call for 911. There are just so many things you have to do when you?re fixing bad credit that really, when you compare what you?d have to go through with the amount the credit repair company is going to charge you, it seems like you?re paying a small price indeed.

But if you?re determined to try it out alone first then certainly, I won?t stop you and indeed congratulate you for having the fortitude for such a task.

Task #1 ? Getting A Copy Of Your Credit Report

Listen well and remember: you need a copy of your credit report. Don?t rely on secondhand information. Don?t overestimate your knowledge of your credit history by telling yourself that you know everything that?s contained in your credit report. Really, you don?t. So be a good little boy (or girl) and follow Mama?s orders. Approach any of the three major credit bureaus ? TransUnion, Equifax, Experian, take your pick ? and ask for a copy of your credit report. If you?re feeling particularly diligent, why not ask a copy of your credit report from all three credit bureaus?

Task #2 ? Understanding The Contents of Your Credit Report

Here?s our rule: if you want to prove the naysayers wrong by showing them that indeed you can fix your bad credit all by your lonesome, you should be very thorough when reviewing the items listed in your credit report. Absolutely no exception. Start from the very beginning and read on till the very last period. Mistakes can even happen with the personal information bit. If you?re Mary Roberts from Philadelphia, then why the heck are you listed as Mary Roberts from Louisiana? There?s an estimated thirty percent chance that your credit report could contain errors so there, that should keep you going.

Task #3 ? Dispute!

Argue, beg, be persistent and never give up. Do what it has to take to make sure that those erroneous items are removed from your record on time. And be cunning. File for disputes a week before Christmas and Thanksgiving and since it?s a busy time of the year, the may just be obliged to temporarily erase those items from your records for lack of sufficient evidence.

More informations are available at http://www.debt-credit-00.info and http://www.business-00.info.

About The Author

Magalie Noel Dresse is the Webmaster of http://www.business-00.info, an informative site on small business, and of http://www.debt-credit-00.info, an informative site on debt and credit questions.

mcmagalie@gmail.com

What You Should Know About Consumer Credit Reports

by: John Rivers

Consumer credit reports are often used by businesses to help them decide whether to lend money or provide other types of benefits to a particular consumer. Credit bureaus provide credit report information on consumers to interested parties, to enable them to assess a person's risk levels or suitability for a loan or other purpose. These consumer credit reports show the status of your credit score including judgments, tax liens, and other credit related information. Your consumer credit report can be accessed very easily, and often at little or no cost. In fact, you are entitled to one free copy a year. Be sure to check your consumer credit report often to ensure that it is accurate.

To purchase a copy of your consumer credit report there are a number of contact details that you can use:

Equifax call: (800) 997-2493

write: Equifax Information Service Center

P.O. Box 740241

Atlanta, GA 30374-0241

Experian (Formerly TRW) call: (888) 397-3742

write: Experian National Consumer Assistance Center

P.O. Box 2104

Allen, TX 75013-2104.

Trans Union call: (800) 888-4213

write: Trans Union Corp. Consumer Disclosure Center

P.O. Box 390

Springfield, PA 19064-0390.

A copy of your consumer credit report will cost between 8.00 and 11.00 USD. You can also get a free copy of your consumer credit report if you have been turned down for credit in the last two months. If you do have a problem with your consumer credit report you can repair it. Many creditors offer their clients help in cleaning up their consumer credit report. Accurate data, negative or positive cannot be removed legally from a consumer credit report. However if there is incorrect information on your consumer credit report you should know the following:

1. You can usually have inaccurate information removed from your credit report at little or no cost by contacting the relevent credit bureau.

2. Credit repair scams that involve "file segregation" or hiding unfavorable credit history are often illegal.

3. Credit repair companies are required to provide consumers with complete information about the services they will provide. They must not charge a fee until after services have been provided.

Therefore, if you are ever asked to compensate a credit repair service before they have successfully repaired your consumer credit report, it is illegal and you should not pay them. Be sure to get a detailed list of what they will do to help you and know your rights.

About The Author

John Rivers is the owner of Money Management Center.
How To Get A Free Radar Detector In 3 Easy Steps

by: Michael Kim

OK, so we?ve all seen them; banner ads, emails, messages on forums claiming to help you get free stuff. Some offer free ipods, others offer a free playstation3, and some even offer free gas. Most people think they are scams; spam designed to steal your information or get you to buy something. But when you look at certain sites, they have pictures and testimonials of people who have actually received their free products. You may even know someone who has. Maybe it was a college friend or someone at work. If people are actually receiving these products, then it isn?t a scam. But how exactly does it work? How can these companies give away these products for free? It?s actually very simple.

It?s called CPA or Cost Per Acquisition. The advertisers on these websites pay for the acquisition of new clients. Every time you complete an offer the advertisers pay a finders fee to the website for bringing them a new client. Because the cost of marketing can be so expensive, these advertisers gladly pay for the cost of the free products in exchange for new clients. What kind of offers do you have to participate in and what kind of companies advertise on these sites? You might have heard of a few of them. Companies like American Express, Blockbuster, Netflix, Columbia House, and Direct TV to name a few. Legitimate companies like these would never participate in online scams or allow their company images to be tarnished by less than kosher online activities. So how exactly do you get your free products?

Let?s take a look at www.freeradardetectors.com that offers a free radar detector. There are three simple and easy steps to follow and once you?re done, they send a complementary radar detector to your door.

1.	The first step is to sign up for the program.

2.	The second step is to complete an offer from their advertisers.

3.	The last easy step is to refer your friends to the site and have them sign up too.

Once you and your friends have completed your offers from the advertisers, you get your free radar detector. And so will each one of your friends when they refer the offer to their friends. The best part is that the offers you participate in are ones you would probably do anyway. Such as signing up for Netflix or Blockbuster Online DVD rental service, maybe getting a new credit card, or even signing up for DirecTV Satellite service. The only difference is that now you get credit for it and get free stuff in the process. So go out and grab the free stuff while it lasts.

About The Author

Michael Kim writes for www.mikequest.com. After watching his friends receive free products online, he set out to find other legitimate offers all over the net for everyone to enjoy. He is always on the look out for the best online bargins. Original games are very expensive and because CDs are not exactly immortal, you can eventually wear out a game especially if you use it every minute of the day.

To give value to consumers, most countries allow original CD buyers to make back-up copies of their XBOX games in case their original got damaged or got lost provided that they are aware of the law against pirated software and that they actually own an original cd and are only copying XBOX games for their personal use only.

While it is relatively easy to do the copying of XBOX games, the same cannot be said in actually using the XBOX games that you have copied. Most software contain an encryption that must be met when inserted in an XBOX. Copying an XBOX game, however, does not copy this encryption. This is a protection system that most XBOX consoles have as protection against flagrant copying of XBOX games.

To be able to run XBOX games that you have copied, you need to modify your XBOX. This can be a daunting task especially to beginners who are afraid of destroying their XBOXes with their tinkering.

According to most tech experts, there are a lot of ways to modifying your XBOX in order to accommodate the practice of copying of XBOX games. Some are quite complicated and only a tech expert could do while other ways can be expensive but easy.

One is to buy and install a MOD-chip. This will allow your console to play XBOX games that you have copied as well as play imported games from other countries with perfect sound and video with no problem at all. While it may seem that all you have to do is purchase a MOD-Chip and then voila, you have another think coming. There are actually a lot of things that you should consider when buying a MOD-Chip. Most recommend the Divineo Modchips, which are purported to be really reliable. Some of the popular brands are the Xecuter 2 and 3, Xenium, SmartXX, X-bit, Alladin, Chameleon and Xchip.

Another way in copying and using XBOX games is to change the BIOS of the XBOX so that it will no longer read the requirements of the digitally-signed software. This is basically reprogramming the whole BIOS.

You might also consider purchasing a bigger hard drive and just save all your games inside the XBOX. This way, you already have copy of your favorite games inside and would no longer need to swap CDs.

The third way is to do the game swapping technique, wherein you will first boot the original CD and then swap the copy once it has already booted up. This might be very complicated and will not actually serve your purpose in copying your XBOX games? that is to preserve your original CDs.

About The Author

Terry Dunn is webmaster of http://www.Copy-Xbox-Games.biz an informational resource on software to Copy Xbox Games.

Home Equity Loan ? Home Theater Adds Fun and Value

by: Charlie Essmeier

In days gone by, the family typically spent their evenings watching television in the den or living room, crowded around a black and white television set that may have measured no more than nineteen inches in diagonal size. For decades, this scenario was pretty much the same in most American homes, with the only change being the replacement of black and white televisions with color models. This worked fine for many years, when most cities only had two or three stations, and most homes didn?t have cable television. With the introduction of high definition television (HDTV), DVD movies, high performance surround sound systems, and affordable video projectors and flat-screen plasma displays, many homeowners would like to have a dedicated room, or home theater, for audio-video use. In today?s housing climate, adding a home theater to your home is a smart move.

Few homes have a room that is naturally suited to use as a home theater. Most rooms that might be used for such purposes either have a fireplace or inappropriately located windows. By building a dedicated home theater, the homeowner can build a room that suits the specific needs of audio video systems ? limited outside light, darker-colored walls, a mounted screen or plasma TV, and special wiring inside the walls, where it cannot be seen.

Adding space to your home is a bullish move, and the extra square footage will add value to your property. You can finance the construction with a home equity loan or line of credit, which allows you to deduct the interest from your tax return. And the inclusion of a theater in your house may make the home easier to sell in the future, as more and more families are finding a theater to be a useful feature to have in a home. If you are not sure about how to go about designing such a room, you might check the Yellow Pages for stores that sell audio and video equipment. They can provide you with information regarding what kind of equipment you might need, wiring requirements and so on. They might also be able to recommend a contractor who can do the work for you.

The introduction of affordable big-screen televisions and HDTV has made a home theater THE must-have home accessory. With interest rates still at affordable rates, now is a great time to add that dedicated viewing room that will make you the envy of your neighborhood when the next Super Bowl comes around.

About The Author

©Copyright 2005 by Retro Marketing.

Charles Essmeier is the owner of Retro Marketing, a firm devoted to informational Websites, including http://www.homeequityhelp.net, a site devoted to information regarding home equity lending.

equity@homeequityhelp.net

Relaying Convenience and Creativity

by: Terry Brown

Saturn is one of General Motors? brands. It was launched in 1990 largely due to the success of Japanese small-car imports in the United States, and this brand was the company?s response. It is popularly known for its ?no-haggle? sale policy. And it is very commonly known to have customer satisfaction with its dealer service that is among the highest of any car brand in the United States. It has also received praise for its environmentally-conscious manufacturing processes and for its innovations such as using flexible plastic side panels on its cars to avoid minor dents, as well.

One of the vehicles that are running under this brand is the Saturn Relay. It is a minivan that is the first in its brand not to have a polymer side paneling. The Saturn Relay uses a 3.5 liter High Value 3500 LX9 V6 that has the capability to generate 200 horsepower and 220 ft-lb. torque.

Interestingly, the new 2006 Saturn Relay is a mini van with four doors that is quite capable of having seven passengers in its interior. It has been made available in three trims that ranges from the FWD 2 to the AWD 3. The FWD 2 is equipped with a standard 3.5 liter V6 engine that can achieve 18 mpg in the city, and 25 mpg during highway driving. The AWD 3, meanwhile, is well equipped with the standard 3.5 liter V6 engine that can take up to 17 mpg in the city and 23 mpg in the highway. Standard for these trims is a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive.

The Saturn Relay brings along with it convenience due to its features that create such a feeling for its driver and passengers. The list includes a passenger airbag cutoff sensor that is activated by seatbelt engagement; covered lower console storage that is located on its floor; cruise control; OnStar Telematics System with twelve months Safe and Sound Service Plan; OnStar Vehicle Location System; a keyless entry that is operated via key fob; a multi-function remote that operates doors to lock and unlock and is also anti-theft; and a telephone antenna.

Options for this new vehicle includes manual air conditioning, interior dust and pollen air filter, driver airbag with dual stage deployment, DVD player located in the second row with a 7-inch screen located in the overhead console, second row sound controls for audio and DVD, rear window defroster, power door locks with automatic locking, AM/FM radio with speed sensitive volume, eight speakers, CD player, MP3 player, and pre-programmed equalizer.

More information about the Saturn Relay is available at http://www.innerauto.com. Customers can also access the website?s vast array of Saturn Relay parts and Saturn parts.

In a nutshell, what is lacking for this model is that it does not bring along with it standard side air bags. However, it is good that it has ABS, air conditioning, alarm, automatic transmission, CD player, child safety locks, child seat tethers, DVD player, OnStar System, power windows/locks, side impact door beams, and theft tracking.

About The Author

Terry Brown is a 32 year old from Houston Texas, and an enthusiast for anything auto-related.
